Government College for Women-GCWR, Rohtak, Haryana was established in 1959. The college offers a variety of undergraduate and postgraduate courses in arts, medical, science, management, commerce, and information technology departments. It is affiliated with Maharshi Dayanand University (MDU) and approved by the Government of Haryana.

Admission fees can be paid via demand draft (in favor of Government College for Women-GCWR), net banking, or cash. The demand draft should have the candidate's name, admission form number, and course name on the reverse side. Candidates are advised to keep a copy of the demand draft for their records.

The college has a dedicated training and placement cell that facilitates student placements by organizing seminars, guest lectures, corporate meets, and personality development programs.
